The speaker initially talked about bilingual education. Furthermore, this lecture also shed light on Monolingual education. Moreover, he explained about confusion and fear faced by children. It is evident from the lecture that parents’ role and risk reductions are very instrumental in explaining the topic. In conclusion, the role of advice and association play a vital role in bilingual education.
significantly focusing on the language, the lecture mentioned raising concern whether the children will be confused by two different languages at home. Additionally, this will confuse the children considering if one parent sticks to one language and the other one uses another language, it will reduce the risk of children being confused.
The speaker was discussing the impact on raising children bilingually. He then highlighted that learning two languages increases the risk of confusion. In addition, the speaker mentioned that it is a good idea to maintain and use one language by parents at home to reduce confusion. Overall, he suggested that it is beneficial to learn different languages at earlier age of development.
My response is parents should encourage their children to speak what they know the best. The reason is their children can be able to engage with others.
However, most of their languages should not be neglected because their languages are also their pride and should be respected. Also, the English language is mostly the easier ways of communications and their parents should be educated on the importance of these English.
Speaker raises the concern about bilingual parental upbringing. Perhaps, a parent can differentiate between two languages but according to the human brain monolingual concept child is not able to differentiate at his preschool age. Therefore, to avoid the chances of confusion recommendation is to use one language. Overall, this lecture is a critical presentation of human brain development.
